Gettin' Healthy

Hudson is now 14 months old and it's about time that I get back to working out and getting healthy.  I have been working out 6 days/week for the past month.  I have been using the My Fitness Pal app on my phone to track my calories and activity.  Unfortunately, my body is really SLOW at changing, so I haven't seen much progress, yet.  I'm only down 4 pounds.  It's definitely frustrating knowing I am cutting a lot of calories out (eating really healthy) and working out a lot and not seeing results, but I know I have to give it more time.  It would be nice to have looser clothes, even if I'm not losing much weight, but that just hasn't happened.  Why wasn't  I blessed with a fast metabolism?!  I'm linking up with Cherish at Southern Soul Mates  for some accountability.

My work-out regimen:  Run on the treadmill 25-30 minutes 6 days/week.  I vary my speed from 4.8 mph to 6 mph.  I also have my treadmill set at a 4 % incline.  Then, 3 days/week I add light weights.

I want to be healthy and toned for myself, my husband, and my baby.  I know summer is a long ways off, but my goal is to be fit and toned by then.

Happy Sunday

Hudson is better, so we were back in church this weekend.  My attempt at getting a family picture before we left.
I love that there's a casual dress code.  I wear jeans most of the winter.
My two favorite boys
Our church spent 3 years fundraising, renovating and building this new worship center.  It's awesome!  It opened January 5th and has been packed ever since -about 1800-1900 people per service.  We are volunteering a couple of times per month as greeters and ushers.  God is already doing cool things there.
Not exactly the best picture of our church - I'll get a better one someday.
Poor thing, Hudson really gets worked up going to the nursery.  I know it's good for him, but it's so hard making him do something that gets him so upset.   And he is usually crying when we pick him up.  The attendants say he calms down and is able to play for a little bit, but it doesn't take much to set him off.  Anybody have any advice to make drop off easier?

Hangin' in there

It's been a rough few days.  Poor Hudson has croup again - the second time in 2 months.  Sadly, Hudson was breathing so bad in the doctor's office, they had to give him a steroid shot and then he was put on oral steroids for a few days.  He is finally doing better and only woke us up once last night.  He actually played for a little while this morning and was trying to put on Brian's shoes.  Little stinker- I couldn't get him to stand still long enough to get a good picture.
I hope to get back to blogging soon.

Too Bad!

We were geared up and ready for a big Colts win, but sadly they lost to Baltimore.  Hopefully the loss didn't have anything to do with the fact that we are still wearing Peyton Manning jerseys.

Play Time

Brian took Hudson and Peyton to the park in our neighborhood today and they both had a great time.  I stayed home (if it's less than 50 degrees and after Christmas, then I'm usually inside).
Just a boy and his dog.
Senior picture time already?

Still Catching Up

Last Saturday was Christmas Round Two.
We got a few more inches on Friday, so we went back out for a few more minutes of fun.
Brittney, Cooper and Chris
I think this should be their Christmas card next year
Poor Cooper had enough and was ready to go back in
I didn't see the horse on Hudson's head until just now.
Grandpa and his boys
Love these two little guys!
Just chllin in the box
Hudson loved the little babyMichael and Melissa
Showing off Cooper's Mini Cooper made by Grandpa - so cool!
Hudson's Hudson.  I had no idea his name was a racing car from 1909 to 1954.  Once we had a person ask us if we got the name from the movie Cars and we said no.  We had no idea there was a car in the movie named Doc Hudson.  --It's funny that Chris and Brittney and Brian and I named our boys after cars.  -What a special gift!
The drive home was beautiful!  I couldn't take enough pictures
Our back yard - we were surprised when we got home and had snow.
Shot out our front door
I love the way the lights look underneath the snow
We had an amazing two weeks!  I love Christmas!

So Much Fun

Thursday was such a fun day!  It was pretty close to perfect.  We met my parents for breakfast, visited with Julie and Kaitlyn, visited with Brad, Sheri, Addie, and Drew, and then Chris, Brittney and Cooper flew in from Texas.  We packed in as much as we could.  The roads were a sheet of ice in the morning, but cleared up by the afternoon.

The best picture we could get with our little ones.  Hudson is obsessed with kitchen utensils, bowls, pots and pots.  He did drop the pot, but wouldn't give up the spoon. -Love these two girls so much!
We stopped at Brad and Sheri's house after we left Julie's.  Addie is the sweetest and most precious little girl.  She's such a bright little light.  She loved Hudson and kept taking his picture.
Love this family so much!
Chris, Brittney, and Cooper arrived about 4 pm.  Here is one of our many attempts to get pictures of the boys.  Once again, Hudson wouldn't give up the spoon.
Hudson is not real big on sitting still these days.  Cooper was a little angel and sat still.  The boys have such opposite personalities.

Outtakes:
Trying to take the spoon away ended with tears, so we gave the spoon back.  Kaitlyn thinks Hudson is crazy!
Picture attempt  #300
Attempt #400
One of the best days of the year!!
