Christmas 2014

I'm so far behind on blogging that I don't even know where to start.  My goal is to try and blog about 3 times/week until I catch up.
We had a great Christmas with the boys despite all the sickness we had.  One of the events we did was The Southern Lights - it's a drive through Christmas lights display at the Horse park.  We parked and checked out some of the events.  They have a beautiful huge decorated tree.
I forgot a hat for Beckett so he had to wear Brian's and kind of looked like an elf.
The boys got to see Santa.  Hudson was pretty excited and Beckett was quite the observer.
We got to ride around on this train.
We crammed into the little boxes, it was so fun.
The next weekend we drove to a Christmas tree farm and picked out our Christmas tree.  Poor Beckett, I didn't realize he looked so uncomfortable.

Our beautiful tree
Me and my boys
We hosted an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party the next weekend.  I made Brian's sweater.  I'm a sweaty mess.
We had planned on being in Indiana for a week, but Hudson got the flu the first night being there so we packed up and came home after 1 day.  Thankfully no one else got sick.
Even the flu couldn't hold Hudson down from opening presents at Gigi and Grandpa's
We spent A LOT of money on our Christmas tree and we let Hudson decorate it and all of the ornaments ended up on the bottom.  I tried to slowly spread them out, but then I realized I loved how he decorated it and left it after that.
Christmas morning
Santa left some nice presents for some good boys.
We're so thankful for the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas.  Such a sweet time of year.

Happy 5 months!

~Beckett~
Happy 5 months!
It's been another rough month of sickness, but you handle it pretty well.  You've been sleeping in your carseat because you just can't breathe, which has also caused you to not sleep well at night.  We're all exhausted.  We're so ready for you to continually sleep through the night.  We're also ready for everyone in the house to be healthy for a long stretch of time.
The day before your 5th month birthday, you started turning from your stomach to your back.  You are so grabby now a days, also.  You desperately want the remote and our phones.  You still enjoy your play mat and your bouncer, you tolerate your bumbo for a few minutes, and you tolerate your stomach for a few minutes.  You love Sophie the giraffe.  You like being read to.  You like being carried and have become less tolerant sitting in your bouncer.  You LOVE your brother and have really started laughing at him.  He still loves you and enjoys holding you for a couple of minutes at a time. He's very proud of you and still calls you "Baby Beckett"
I think you're about 17.5 pounds.  You are still getting only breastmilk and eat 5-6 x day and take about 30-35 ounces.  You are wearing size 2 diapers during the day and 3's at night.  Naps are okay, especially if you're in your carseat.  The first and second naps are about 1-1.5 hrs and the third is about 30 minutes, but sometimes you only nap for 10 or 15 minutes, you're definitely not consistent.  You go to bed about 7:30 and usually wake up once or twice throughout the night and then wake up about 7.  You travel in the car very well.
Here you are reaching for the camera
I still think you might be the smiliest baby I've ever been around, and everyone comments on how happy you are.  You squeal and squawk a lot.   You love having someone talk to you and maintain eye contact.
Not feeling very well in this picture
My cute little elf.   My mom got you this adorable outfit.  I love it!!!!!
You so desperately wanted to eat the strand of lights.
Happy 5 months to our sweet, happy, pleasant Baby Beckett!  We love you so much and pray for you daily and know God has big plans for you!

Just Some Random Pictures

I've been trying to get some pictures of Beckett lately in some of my favorite clothes.  He's growing so fast that they are getting small very quickly.  I had to squeeze him into this sweater.  Poor thing was so uncomfortable, but smiled for me,anyway.  I couldn't get the inside shirt buttoned.
This is the outfit that Hudson wore home from the hospital.  Makes me happy to see Beckett in it,but sad to think of how big Hudson has gotten.
"Lunch time yet?"
Such a little sweetie
