Pregnancy Update: 28 wks & a couple pix

I'm now 28 3/7 weeks into this pregnancy.
It's been similar to my first pregnancy, but also very different.  Hudson always measured a little on the small side and this new guy is measuring 2 1/2 weeks ahead.  Hudson sat low in my belly, but this guy is sitting way high, is transverse, and it is difficult to catch my breath and sit in certain positions.  I was a lot more sick with Hudson, which was awful at the time, but I only gained 12 pounds with him.  So far, I'm up 8 pounds this pregnancy.  I'm definitely trying to eat better and exercise more.  I don't want to get too big.

My only real craving is ICE -I can't eat enough of it!  I drive everyone crazy with all the chomping I do. Brian stopped at Sonic to get me the good ice.  I love the smell of gasoline and when I'm filling the van up, I day dream about putting the nozzle in my mouth and drinking it.  Also, when I'm using Comet, I so badly want to eat it - something about the smell and texture is driving me crazy.

The little guy is crazy active just like Hudson, which is a little scary.  How am I going to manage 2 on the go boys?!  We can't wait to see what his personality is and what kinds of things he's interested in.  Just judging from how wild he is, I'm guessing his personality will be similar to Hudson.
Thankfully, I just passed my glucose screening - another reason to eat better and exercise more.  11 weeks to go!!  We have a lot to get done between now and then.

My talented neighbor Amanda took some pictures for us before we become a family of four.  She is still editing a few more pictures, but gave me these until she's finished.  I know Hudson isn't looking at the camera in this picture, but I love it!  He looks so sweet and innocent.  I love his little feet.

I don't know the last time we had a really nice picture of just the two of us.  --Thanks, Amanda for a fun photo session and great pictures.

Happy Easter

Hope y'all had a great Easter.  We did!  Our church had a beautiful worship service.
Terrible picture of us - but it was the best we could get.
After church, we spent the rest of the day outside playing with bubbles and washing the car and exploring.

1 John 4:10  "This is real love - not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."

We sang a beautiful song by Kari Jobe that I hadn't heard before called Forever
Here are a few of the lyrics:
"Now death where is your sting?  Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated
Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive
The Lamb has overcome"

Vacation

The three of us just got back from a trip to Houston.  We visited Brian's brother and his family.  We had a really fun time.  We usually fly, but we decided to drive this time and it actually wasn't bad.   We broke the trip up and stayed for a night in Little Rock, Arkansas.  We got there at a decent time and got to explore their river walk area.  We got to watch a few minutes of Jazz in the Park.  The river walk was really pretty and was a lot of fun.  We let Hudson burn off some energy running all over the place.
The boys mostly had a good time playing together - they were typical 2 year olds and we heard a lot of "Mine! Mine! Mine!"
We took the boys to a cool dinosaur museum.  They had a really good time.

Too busy looking for something to look at the camera.
I love this picture of my little boy looking like a big boy.

Busy checking out all the skeletons.
We took the boys to The Bayou Safari on our second day.  It was so much fun!!!  We rode around the park in a wagon and got to feed the animals.
The boys don't look very excited in this picture, but they really did have a great time.
This camel's name was Cindy and was really sweet.  Hudson loved petting and feeding her.
She made herself right at home in our wagon.
This is the best picture I have of the 2 little ones and big ones.

After the ride, we went into the petting zoo and fed some more animals.
The adventure ended with a pony ride.  Hudson said that was his favorite item of the day.
Terrible picture - but we ate at this great German Restaurant named Rudy Lechner's.  They had a really fun interactive band.  The boys loved giving a tip and ringing their bell.
We loved spending time outside and had a few meals on their patio area.
Chris and Brittney's pool was too cold to fully get in, but it was a lot of fun to sit on the side and play.
The boys eventually got in about waist deep and had a blast.
I loved sitting by the pool and soaking up all the rays.  I did eventually get in up to my knees.
On our last day, we took the boys to this neat outdoor shopping center and let them run and play.
Cooper did not like Hudson putting his arm around him.
We had such a fun time (minus Hudson's meltdowns).

Good Friday

I can never thank Jesus enough for what He did for me.

1st Dentist Appt

Hudson had his first dental appointment today and he did awesome!  We were so proud of him.  He listened very well and did everything the hygienist and dentist asked him to do.

The hygienist was so nice and sweet and let Hudson play with all the instruments before she used them on him.  He wasn't scared of anything.  He loved filling the cup up with water and then sucking it all up with the straw.  We may have a little dentist on our hands.
Hudson loved the bubble gum toothpaste and kept following the toothbrush around with his tongue trying to eat it.
He really enjoyed getting his teeth counted and loved knowing he has 20 teeth.
I'm so thankful he listened so well and wasn't scared at all.   Afterwards, he was so proud and loved showing off that they gave him chapstick, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a sticker.
