Bad Momma!

My mom and I were  playing with Hudson and trying to get a few pictures when he tumbled over head first onto the concrete.   Unfortunately, he hasn't learned to stick his hands out to catch himself.  Thankfully he was okay, it looks a lot worse than it actually was.  (I got a couple really cute pictures that I'll show on another post.)
See my mom's foot on the left there?  Hudson fell so fast that we didn't have time to react.
I'd love to hope that this is the only injury he'll ever get, but I doubt it.  If/When he gets hurt again, hopefully it won't be my fault.

Change of Subject:  The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren is one of my favorite books.  I got the book back in 2004.  Today I was looking/reading though all of the areas I have highlighted and notes I have taken and came across a few sentences I wanted to share.  "Love leaves a legacy.  How you treated other people, not your wealth or accomplishments, is the most enduring impact you can leave on earth.  Love is the secret of a lasting heritage.  The point of life is learning to love - God and people."

  1. Oh no! What a funny picture but I know what you mean. Kaylee flipped right off the bed one time before I had a chance to even think about catching her! Scary!

  2. Oh gosh! I'm sure things like these happens to all mommas at one point or another. I accidentally bumped Riley's head on the wall when he was about ten months old. He was sleeping and didn't wake up when it happened, thank goodness. Hope Hudson didn't get too scared.
A friend of mine actually recommended that book to me but I have yet to get it. Thanks for the reminder.
